Which is exactly what I want to know.
This is directly related to all of the college-age Bush supporters I talked with over the last year--"If you support the President and believe him and his people about the threat of Iraq, why are you still here in college? Why aren't you out fighting the 'most important battle of our lifetimes' or whatever the President called it?" And none of those gutless swine had a real answer to it. Pigs.

Bummers
So why not? This is a collection of bummers, downers, and songs about losing out and fucking up. You may not agree, you may have suggestions, feel free to comment. Sorry the rest of the blog sucks. Welcome to my personal web sticky-note. :)

"Midnight Cruiser" Steely Dan
"We've Got Tonight" and "Still the Same" Bob Seger
"Fallin'" De La Soul & Teenage Fanclub from the Judgement Night soundtrack
"Lifetime Piling Up" Talking Heads
"Everyday Struggle" Notorious B.I.G.
"Lost Cause" Beck
"So Far Away" Carole King
"People Are Strange" The Doors

"Take This Bottle" Faith No More
"The Poor Side of Town" Johnny Rivers
"Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)" Temptations
"Monday Monday" Mamas and the Papas
"Those Were the Days" Mary Hopkin--Perhaps a little over-the-top, but I enjoy it
"Too Little Too Late" Barenaked Ladies
"Worst That Could Happen" The Brooklyn Bridge
"Midnight Cowboy" The harmonica version from the John Barry soundtrack, although the Faith No More version from Angel Dust is more than acceptable as well
"Same Old Song" Four Tops
On a related note, I strongly reccomend "Hats Off to Larry" by Del Shannon and Lynn Anderson's "Rose Garden" for zany-listening purposes. Enjoy.
